Baseline review: no Gemini 4 model exists in any Google source
Checked the API changelog, the Google Cloud model list and Google's blog. No Gemini 4 model card, model ID, price or benchmark exists anywhere.
A full pass over Google’s own sources, to establish a clean baseline against the noise.
The Gemini API release notes contain no model ID matching any Gemini 4 naming pattern. The Google Cloud model list, which covers enterprise availability, does not list one either. Google’s blog has published nothing about a Gemini 4, and the most recent Gemini model announcement remains Gemini 3.8 Flash on 2 September 2026.
There is also no model card, no pricing entry, no context-window figure and no benchmark table.
The practical consequence: every specification circulating online today descends from a single leaked checkpoint, not from Google. Any article presenting Gemini 4 specifications as settled fact is presenting a reading of a training snapshot as a product datasheet.
